Terms and Conditions

  1. 1. Passenger Conduct
    Any abuse, unacceptable behaviour, or conduct that makes the driver feel unsafe will result in the driver having the right to terminate the journey and request that passengers leave the vehicle immediately. No refund will be given in such circumstances.

  2. 2. Vehicle Soiling
    Any soiling of our vehicles will incur a standard cleaning charge of £65. If additional cleaning is required and costs exceed this amount, further charges may be applied accordingly.

  3. 3. Vehicle Substitution and Breakdowns
    We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle prior to any booking due to breakdowns or staff availability. In the event of a breakdown during your journey, the driver will contact the office and we will make every reasonable effort to arrange alternative transport and get you to your destination as quickly as possible.

  4. 4. Personal Belongings
    Passengers are responsible for ensuring all personal belongings are removed from the vehicle at the end of the journey. If the driver is required to make an additional journey to return lost property, this will be chargeable.

  5. 5. Failure to Meet Driver
    We are not responsible for any costs incurred if passengers do not wait for their driver and choose to take alternative transport or leave the airport.

  6. 6. Journey Times and Delays
    We can recommend pick-up and journey times based on travel conditions; however, we are not liable for delays or losses caused by traffic congestion, road closures, diversions, extreme weather, accidents, breakdowns, or other unforeseen circumstances. Every reasonable effort will be made to minimise disruption where possible.

  7. 7. Additional Stops
    Any additional pick-ups or drop-offs requested that are not included in the original booking will be charged at the appropriate rate.

  8. 8. Car Parking Charges
    The quoted price includes car parking for up to 30 minutes from the time the driver enters the car park. Any additional parking charges incurred beyond this period will be added to the final fare.

  9. 9. Airport Waiting Time
    Please inform us of any delays such as long passport control queues, baggage delays, or lost luggage so we can advise the driver accordingly.
    All quoted airport prices include up to 60 minutes of free waiting time from flight landing. If waiting time exceeds this allowance, additional charges will apply at £20 per hour, charged in 15-minute increments.

  10. 10. Stansted, Luton & Southend Drop-off/Pick-up Points
    The quoted price includes 10 minutes in the designated drop-off/pick-up area. Any time beyond this may incur additional airport charges. Some airports charge up to £25 to exit the barrier if this time is exceeded. Davis Cars is not responsible for these charges if you have confirmed that you are ready and waiting at the agreed collection point.

  11. 11. Correct Flight Information
    You must provide accurate arrival details, including the correct landing date and time in the UK (not departure details.) If incorrect information results in an unnecessary journey, you will be charged for both journeys.

  12. 12. Cancellations
    All cancellations must be made in writing at least 48 hours before the departure date.
    Cancellations made less than 48 hours before travel will be charged in full for the airport transfer. Please provide as much notice as possible to allow us to replace the booking for the driver.

  13. 13. Payment
    All journeys must be paid for in full. Payment is due on the date of travel unless otherwise agreed.

  14. 14. Flight Delays and Out-of-Hours Charges
    Although return flights are monitored, passengers must notify us of any significant delays. If a delayed flight results in collection during unsocial hours (23:00–06:00), we reserve the right to amend the fare to include the applicable out-of-hours charge.
