Terms and Conditions

  1. Bookings
    1. Upon confirmation of vehicle booking the price quoted will be guaranteed subject to the original itinerary remaining unaltered and no additional charges being applied in line with notes 1.3 and 1.4 below
    2. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the appropriate size vehicle is selected to accommodate both passengers and luggage. JGM Chauffeur Travel will advise on vehicle luggage capacity during the booking process. The chauffeur reserves the right to refuse to carry passenger luggage that cannot be accommodated in the vehicle boot space
    3. All transfers will be deemed single pick-up and drop-off points unless outlined to the contrary within the pre-booked journey itinerary. All extra pick-up and drop-off requirements required on the day will be charged at a minimum of £10 each plus the cost of any significant additional mileage and time
    4. We maintain a flexible approach to minor itinerary adjustments following initial booking and will seek to accommodate such with no additional journey cost to the client. We reserve the right, however, to review any itinerary changes communicated to us after the initial booking and prior to the transfer date and to assess the consequential impact on time and distance and, where necessary, to advise the client of any increase in costs and to obtain the associated additional payment
    5. Bookings made via the web portal will not include for Toll charges. Clients will have the choice of settling such costs direct with the driver on the day or by additional advance card payment
    6. The chauffeur will only take instruction or direction from ONE passenger on party bookings. The lead passenger – unless agreed otherwise by all – will be deemed by the chauffeur as the first on the booking form and for whom a contact number has been provided in advance  
    7. Our waiting time policy associated with standard transfers (excluding Airport journeys) is outlined below. Waiting time charge is waived for the first 10 minutes beyond the scheduled pickup time but thereafter is applied at the rate of £30/hr (£7.50 for the first 15 minutes or part thereof and £7.50 for each subsequent 15 minute period or part thereof up to 1hr). We will endeavour to wait the full hour and beyond if in contact with the client but unless pre-agreed we reserve the right to deem the booking cancelled after 30 minutes of waiting and will charge in accordance with our cancellation policy as outlined below
    8. Should the scheduled passenger pickup time change AFTER the vehicle has been dispatched waiting time charges in line with 1.7 above will commence from the time of the original scheduled collection

 

 

  1. Cancellations
    1. Bookings can be cancelled with full refund up to 24hrs in advance of the pickup time or re-scheduled by emailing us at info@jgmchauffeurtravel.com or, for corporate clients with a secure portal access, by accessing account bookings via our website. In the interest of maintaining a secure client service, email cancellation instructions will only be accepted from the recognised booking email address. Please note that full charges will be payable in the event of cancellation with less than 24 hours notice. Wedding Car bookings will be subject to a 50% refund if cancelled up to 7 days prior to the booked date. No refund is payable after this date.

 

  1. Payments
    1. Unless agreed, we require payment to confirm the booking by either bank transfer or credit/debit card. If payment is to be made by credit/debit card we can facilitate this electronically via our web portal through a secure payment platform with no direct interface with the client. JGM Chauffeur Travel will not keep records of customers card details without prior agreement with the card holder
    2. All invoices against corporate account clients are due for payment strictly 30 days from invoice date

 

  1. Vehicles
    1. JGM Chauffeur Travel make every effort to supply executive vehicles as requested. We would reserve the right, however, particularly during periods of high demand, to provide an equivalent alternative vehicle at the same price against all bookings that we have confirmed back to the client

 

  1. Insurance
    1. JGM Chauffeur Travel are fully insured for the passenger and for public liability. This does not, however, include travel, baggage, document or parcel insurance
    2. JGM Chauffeur Travel make best use of various apps to monitor traffic and weather conditions but ultimately accept no responsibility for delays caused by traffic congestion, road-traffic accidents or poor weather or indeed for delays caused by strike action, pandemics, acts of God or Force Majeure
    3. JGM Chauffeur Travel may supply vehicles on run-flat tyres which mitigate delays associated with puncture repairs but ultimately we accept no consequential liability for delays to journeys caused by tyre issues or breakdowns  
    4. JGM Chauffeur Travel accept no liability for theft or damage to the property of the person making the booking or to the property of passengers travelling with the booking
    5. Should a client require the services of one of our chauffeurs on a driver-only basis i.e. to drive a client-owned vehicle, our driver must be covered on the client insurance policy. JGM Chauffeur Travel accept no liability for insurance excess, damage or theft in such circumstances

 

 

  1. Airport Transfers
    1. A number of UK Airports, including Manchester, have increased terminal drop-off and pick-up charges significantly but JGM Chauffeur Travel are seeking to improve communication protocols with the client to mitigate the impact of such costs. Airport pickup quotes are based upon the chauffeur being in the Terminal Building no more than 30mins. Clients will receive a text message on landing providing reassurance that the chauffeur is already in the vicinity of the Airport and the Client will be asked to text the Chauffeur when through Security and heading towards Baggage Reclaim. The pandemic has caused chaos for arriving passengers who have often been made to wait extraordinary lengths of time to clear through to Arrivals Hall after landing. Our standard waiting time charge for Airport Transfers is applied at the rate of £30/hr beyond 45 minutes from the Flight landing. However, although we reserve the right to apply waiting time retrospectively, we feel that effective communication with the client on landing can mitigate any such costs
    2. JGM Chauffeur Travel monitor UK and International flight information in real time tracking the planes in terms of understanding revised landing times and adjusting our chauffeur schedules accordingly. Flight delays are of course beyond our control and whilst we do of course have a degree of flexibility we reserve the right to subcontract any work that we find ourselves unable to fulfil as a direct consequence of any such delays. In the case of extreme delays and in the very unlikely event that neither we nor our executive travel partners are able to reschedule, we will make every effort to contact the Client
    3. Early flight arrivals are likely to pose less of an issue although may similarly require adjustments to chauffeur schedules. JGM Chauffeur Travel will again be as flexible as possible in the re-scheduling of our drivers. The client will always receive a text on landing to advise on chauffeur status

 

  1. Disorderly Passenger Behaviour
    1. JGM Chauffeur Travel rarely have any trouble from passengers but nevertheless we reserve the right to refuse travel to anyone deemed to be a nuisance or danger to our passengers or to our employees. In addition, our chauffeurs may refuse to collect a passenger if they do not comply with current relevant Government guidance procedures in respect to face coverings
    2. In extreme cases chauffeurs may seek the help of the Police to remove any offenders from our vehicles. JGM Chauffeur Travel will not pay compensation or refund in such circumstances
    3. Soiling or any other damage caused by passengers to our vehicle will be charged in full at main dealer prices
    4. JGM Chauffeur Travel reserve the right to also pass on to the client the cost of hiring a temporary replacement executive vehicle when client passenger(s) are responsible for a soiled or damaged car that has been removed from service for repairs
    5. In compliance with UK Law all Private Hire Vehicles operated by JGM Chauffeur Travel are strictly non-smoking

 

  1. Pricing
    1. Pricing matrices, discounts and special offers are subject to regular review. JGM Chauffeur Travel reserve the right to alter, amend and withdraw such without notice

 

  1. Client Feedback

Our chauffeurs are committed to providing clients with a first-class travel experience but should a passenger have any concerns with the service delivered please immediately advise the driver who will do everything possible to address. Any client who remains dissatisfied is encouraged to email details of any complaint to info@jgmchauffeurtravel.com. A member of our team will investigate and provide a response without undue delay
